This book has help me gain knowledge on how to do more things on the kindle fire he. I am so happy I read this book. If I need help with kindle fire, I believe Carl Bonner would help me with my problem.
There are many books on the kindle fire hd available. Each has its good and better points. this one is careful to be accurate and offers solid, practical advice that some of the other books lack. Carl Boehner seems to not only care about his readers but goes to the extra effort of providing clear illustrations and personal insights. This is a well thought out text and it deserves to be in every kindle fire hd owners library.

I chose this book to get some more information about features on the keyboard for the Fire HD 8.9". I appreciate this section of the book. I felt it was helpful and explained some items I had stumbled upon by accident.
The book is written well and easy to follow along.
It could be more informative with more details on how to use the camera. The pictures in this section were missing in my book.
It was worth the investment.
Although this guide book is well written, applying some of the concepts and instructions can be disconcerting. Since the book is being read on the Fire, it is difficult to view examples from the book while reading the guide. I also found discrepancies in the description of the Settings setup and what is actually available on the fire HD 8.9.
I have a second gen Fire and planning to get the HD. There are MANY Fire books out there and they are getting better and better - probably due to the competition. I am still reading this one with reflection but it is becoming my favorite thus far. Looking forward to getting my Fire HD.
My daughter and son n law gave me a Fire HD for Christmas. I read the help portions on the unit and managed to down load one book The complete Sherlock Holmes. After a few more days I achieved my crowning achievement--a copy of the first Angry Birds! And I wasn't really sure how I did it.
I kept trying to do various things, but had no success--until I happened to find the Guidebook. I followed my procedure for getting Sherlock Holmes and the Guidebook appeared on my carosel! Although it DID make reference to a few things I knew nothing about, the directions were clear enough that I've become a much more confident user. I can now access the internet, get my email --in both Google AND Yahoo!--visit my facebook account as well as down load books, listen to youtube and watch movies!
The Complete Fire HD Guidebook was a great help. Although I've read it all, I'm keeping it front and center on my carosel as a reference.
